Nearly 4,000 constituents took part in Senator Wagner’s August 18th Tele Town Hall for at least a portion of the event.
Participants weighed in on four survey questions:
– 49% said Gov. Wolf should have signed the no-tax-increase budget passed by the General Assembly.
– 37% said he should have signed the two-thirds of the budget that he was in agreement with, rather than vetoing the entire plan.
– 90% indicated Pennsylvania should reform its pension plans for state and public school employees
– 77% support the total elimination of property taxes.
Property taxes were a hot topic, as was the Governor’s veto of the budget, pension reform, education funding, and school consolidation.
